Too Many Things!
Polly seems to have all the toys in the world. Her room is packed to the brim with them. But is that actually a good thing? Polly gradually learns that having a huge amount of stuff is not too healthy.
In today’s world, caring for mental wellbeing is essential from a young age. Children need to be supported in learning how to slow down, be mindful of their surroundings, discover their self-worth, and understand the importance of rest. These stories also gently introduce the topic of addiction and its dangers. Let’s nurture our inner world together!
The Wellbeing stories cover a wide range of topics—from managing emotions, building self-confidence, and developing empathy to dealing with peer pressure, addiction, and the benefits of relaxation and mindfulness. All these aspects of wellbeing are presented gently using age-appropriate language. Audio versions and colouring pages are also available for many of these stories.
Not at all. The stories are written simply and sensitively, in a way that young children can easily understand. Thanks to the storytelling format, even complex topics are approachable and not overwhelming.
Yes. All our Wellbeing stories have been created with care and specifically adapted to the needs of younger listeners, to help even very young children understand basic emotions and situations they may face.
After reading or listening to a Wellbeing story, talk to your child about how they felt, what was familiar and what seemed new. You can use the discussion questions at the end of each story – these are a great springboard for further conversation. See if you can come up with ways to manage anger, sadness, or stress together—through breathing, drawing, or hugging.
