Join us this Children’s Day for a joyful celebration of imagination, creativity, and courage — where kids transform from story readers into storytellers.

Session 1 for 50 kids will commence at 10 am, and another batch will follow at 10:30 am.

This competition is open only for on-ground participants present at the venue. Please use in the form below to register your child.

Who Can Join

  • Open to children aged 7–15 years
  • Stories can be written in English or Hindi
  • Entry is free and on-ground only (no online submissions)

“Brave Kids of India” — real or imagined acts of courage that inspire hope and kindness.

Meet the Jury

Our panel brings together creativity, learning, and storytelling expertise:

  • Ms. Sushmita Singha — Social entrepreneur with 30+ years in the development sector; Founder, MA. My Anchor Foundation and Co-Founder, Udaipur Tales. Published author and theatre enthusiast; serves on boards of eminent corporates and international funding bodies.
  • Ms. Gauri Bhargava — Vice Principal and Head, Cambridge Primary/Early Years (DPS International); Cambridge Ambassador mentoring schools pan-India. 25+ years as an education leader with global credentials; championing creativity, EQ, and 21st-century skills.
  • Ms. Alka Vasudeva — Seasoned educator with 35+ years’ experience; published poet and columnist (Greater Jammu). Now focuses on content writing, community engagement, and wellness advocacy—bringing empathy and practical insight to inspire young writers.
  • Dominika Sakmarova— Writer, editor, and author of two books on China, Taiwan, and Korea; promotes and teaches East Asian culture and history. Chief of Content, Readmio (International), bringing a global storytelling lens to validate the final shortlist.
  • Dr. Parul PurohitDean, School of Performing Arts, World University of Design; acclaimed Kathak danseuse, choreographer, author, and educator. Recipient of national honors (Yuva Puruskaar, Sur Sangam Excellence); international presenter (IDC Paris, World Dance Congress).

How to Prepare

  • Pick your hero – someone brave, real or imaginary
  • Plan your story – beginning, middle, and end
  • Keep it short – 300 words or less
  • Make it lively – show, don’t tell
  • Practice – do a 10–15-minute trial write at home
  • Arrive early – settle in and let your imagination flow

Terms & Conditions

  • Participation is open only to children present on-ground at DLF Avenue Saket on event day.
  • Each participant must write their story within the allotted time during the event.
  • Entries must be original and written by the child.
  • Parental consent is mandatory at registration.
  • Stories may be published on the Readmio App and Readmio channels with the child’s first name and city.
  • Photographs and videos from the event may be used for educational or promotional purposes.
  • Data collected will be used solely for event communication.
